Andrew W. Hughes


Andrew W. Hughes, a native of Kansas City, earned a Bachelor of Arts from Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Dayton School of Law, in Dayton, Ohio. During law school, Andrew served as the President of the Black Law Students Association and was awarded the coveted Dean Lisa A. Kloppenberg Public Interest Award for his commitment to pro bono work. 

Andrew joined Dennis, Corry, Smith & Dixon, LLP in June of 2021. His areas of practice will focus on truck liability, transportation litigation, motor carriers, and premises liability.  Prior to joining Dennis, Corry, Smith, & Dixon, LLP, Andrew practiced municipal law for a metro-area city government, serving as a lead attorney on its regulatory enforcement team.

Andrew is in good standing and licensed to practice law in the State of Georgia. Andrew is a member of the Gate City Bar Association, Atlanta Bar Association, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., and the Humane Society of the United States.  When not practicing law, he enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family.
