Lyra G. Foster


Lyra G. Foster, a Texan by birth, joined Dennis, Corry, Smith & Dixon, LLP in April of 2022. Her areas of practice are truck liability, insurance defense, motor carriers, and transportation litigation. She has previously worked in legal malpractice defense, civil rights litigation, criminal defense, and workers’ compensation.

She graduated from Texas State University in 2017, and Mercer University School of Law in 2020. While at Mercer, she was a member of Law Review staff, a Moot Court coach and participant, Secretary of the Student Bar Association, and helped found a criminal records expungement program at a local non-profit. Because of this, she was one of the first law students to win an attorney award from the Middle Georgia Access to Justice Counsel.

Lyra is a member in good standing of the State Bar of Georgia. She is a member and future conference speaker for Lavender Law, a LGBTQ+ legal professional association. She is also a board member of a non-profit organization for transgender issues. She is a strenuous and passionate advocate for her clients.
