Kristen L. Beightol was born in Morristown, New Jersey on November 16, 1975. At the age of six, she moved to Raleigh, North Carolina, where she remained through high school. After attending the University of Georgia for general college, she transferred to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she graduated with highest honors in 1997 with a Bachelor of the Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication and a focus in Advertising. In 2001, she graduated from North Carolina’s Campbell Law School.
Ms. Beightol spent the first five years of her practice co-managing hundred thousand to multi-million dollar medical malpractice cases on behalf of patients at a medium-sized law firm in Durham, North Carolina. For the next two years, she continued to focus her career on representing patients in hundred thousand to multi-million dollar medical malpractice cases. Having by then moved to a different medium-sized firm in Raleigh, North Carolina, Ms. Beightol broadened her practice to include other types of tort claims on behalf of individuals against corporations in North Carolina. In 2007, Ms. Beightol became licensed to practice law in the State of Georgia and began handling tort claims on behalf of plaintiffs in Georgia in addition to North Carolina.
Ms. Beightol relocated to Atlanta to join Dennis, Corry, Porter & Smith, L.L.P. in July 2008. Now in Atlanta, Ms. Beightol will use her experience representing individuals against large corporations (including hospitals and health care provider entities) to defend motor carriers and truck insurers. Ms. Beightol is currently licensed in the State of North Carolina, the State of Georgia, the Eastern District of North Carolina, the Northern District of Georgia, the Southern District of Georgia, and the Court of Appeals of Georgia. Ms. Beightol is also a member of the Georgia Supreme Court bar. |
