Mel Aleus joined Dennis, Corry, Smith, & Dixon LLP in 2023.  She currently works in motor carrier liability and premises liability.  She has previously interned at in-house legal departments for media and television companies and clerked in real estate law.  After working at the firm during her first summer of law school, Mel returned in her third year before passing the Georgia Bar Exam in 2023.

Mel graduated from Mercer University with a B.A. in Law and Public Policy in December 2019.  She then graduated from Georgia State University College of Law with her Juris Doctor, with a Certificate in Entertainment, Sports & Media Law, in 2023.  While at Georgia State, Mel served as Press Secretary of the Student Trial Lawyers Association, Marshall and Justice of the Russell Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta, and Secretary of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society.  She also mentored women transitioning into law school and plans to continue mentoring throughout her career.
